New Year’s Eve Catch-up: Three Novels, an Annotated Classic, and a Memoir

I hedonistically devoured three short novels, an annotated classic, and a memoir over Christmas. Let’s hear it for books no longer than 300 pages!

here are brief reviews of my final five books of the year:  The Snow-Woman by Stella Gibbons, Sarah Hall’s dystopian novel, BurntcoatThe Annotated Mrs. Dalloway, by Virginia Woolf and edited by Merve Emre, Meg Mason’s Sorrow and Bliss, and Alexander Herzen’s memoirs, Childhood, Youth & Exile,  Volumes I and II.

Happy New Year!
Best, Kat
